What's New
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
This year we have a total of 19 girls representing us at the Provincial level! Only 10 years ago, we had a total of 3 players on Provincial teams.
This truely shows that, although the opportunities for younger players to be involved in provincial and development programs have increased, our players have grown with these opportunities as well.
Well done girls! And well done to everyone involved in the HSM Association (parents, players, coaches, managers etc) for helping put HSM Ringette on the map in Nova Scotia. We should all be proud.

Novice Development Program for the Season- Session 2
I am happy to let you know that we have found extra icetime that is very suitable to accommodate another group of novice players for our RNS Novice Development Program. As you may know by now, the first session was filled in two days this past week with 36 registrants. I have attached details and registration form for this second session, which is being held at the Civic Arena at the Halifax Forum Complex on Mondays, from 4-5 pm, on approximately every second Monday (dates included in info attached). This is another very good time for our novices with no interference with association games or practices, for the most part. It gives the players time to get to the arena after school and get back home for supper and any homework they might have - which I am sure they'll be happy about!
So, if you are interested please do not delay in registering.
ALL HSM RINGETTE PLAYERS MUST HAVE THESE FORMS COMPLETED AND HANDED IN.

Novice Development Program for the Season
You will find information of the program and a registration form attached to this message. Last year this program filled up in less than one day and, due to the lack of available ice, we can offer only one group of no more than 35 participants, a bi-weekly program this year. So, if you are interested please do not delay in registering for this program. The program's first session is Sunday, October 26th, 8-9am at the Civic Arena in the Halifax Forum Complex.
I am pleased to send you details of our Petite Development Program and its affiliated Petite team programs for this season.
You will find information of the program and a registration form attached to this message. The petite Development Program is the most popular development program with between 65 and 75 players registering annually. There has been two separate hours of weekly ice secured for this program, offering two group sessions of no more than 35 participants per group - a weekly program this year. There will be two Level 3 coaches, Beth Vallis and Liz O'Hanley, leading and instructing this group of players. Both Beth and Liz will also be leading the coaching staff of the Petite Development team(s) that will come out of the development program. Space is limited so register as soon as possible. The program's first sessions are Saturday, October 25th, 2:30-3:30pm at Shannon Arena and 7:00-8:00pm at the Gray Arena.
HSM Novice takes home 1st place in Rhetta Morse Memorial Tournament
The girls lost a hard fought opening game against Cole Harbor, but were able to solidify a position in the final with wins in the remaining two games of the round robin. In the final, a rematch with Cole Harbor, the girls came out strong and established an early lead. Cole Harbor came back strong but the girls gave it their all and came out with an 11-5 victory. Great work girls!
